21st Century Mall Sushi

My mom said I should try some fabulous sushi at Avocado California Roll & Sushi, so I decided to take her up on her recommendation. I have had grocery store sushi and I have had some of the best and freshest sushi at sushi restaurants. I know the difference, and I figured this place would fit neatly in the middle. I was right. The place is loacted in Firewheel Mall and the interior is upscale mediterranean. For $12, my mom and I ordered their specialty rolls – she had one with fried chicken, and I had the classic unagi roll. Both were served quickly (I watched the sushi chef make them both), and they were perfectly seasoned, and the wasabi was fresh. They were surprisingly good and Texas-sized. I expected them both to taste like bland California rolls, but they were so much better! We tried the green tea ice cream and it was refreshing and sweet – not bitter like the others I’ve had. For $30, we had a great dinner.
